I love drinking tea. But since it has been so extremely hot these past few days, I can't bring myself to drink hot tea. I like drinking iced tea, but I normally buy it from Starbucks or a cafe because it is kind of a long process to make. I thought I would experiment with making some nice iced tea for myself. Peppermint tea is one of my go-to's, hot and cold so I decided to make Peppermint Raspberry Iced Tea. It was so easy and refreshing!
Here's what you need:
- Peppermint Tea
- Mint Leaves
The first step is to boil water and steep the tea bags in the hot water. You might want to use more tea bags than usual because the tea is going to get watered down when you add ice cubes. I used two tea bags of my favorite Peppermint Tea from Trader Joe's. After waiting a while for the tea to cool down (I waited about two hours), I muddled the raspberries and a few mint leaves at the bottom of the glass, added some ice, and then poured the tea in. Next, I added a few mint leaves on top as a garnish. The flavors of the raspberry and mint really complimented each other.
I think I'll be having this on repeat for the rest of the summer!
