Ahh there are only two more weeks left in my fall semester! I really feel like this semester has flown by and when I look back, sometimes I am shocked at the amount of work that I accomplished in such a short time. I only have two assignments remaining for this semester and I cannot wait for them to be finished! After that I will only have one semester left, and I am shocked that I'm saying this but I will be really sad when school is over. I love being in class and learning new things. Learning is never over! As someone who has been in school for almost twenty years (WTF!) I consider myself a professional student and I wanted to share a few of my tips for successfully surviving the semester!
- Plan ahead: At the beginning of every month, I print out a calendar, which I keep at my desk at work, that essentially maps out my entire month and when I have big assignments due. I also keep a yearly planner at both work and at home to make sure I can always reference it.
- Stay organized: Keep track of the work that you have done/ still have to do. I make weekly lists of assignments that I need to complete. There are few better feelings than crossing something off a to-do list!
- Make time for yourself: While I work really hard on my schoolwork, there are times when I just put down the books and say "I'm not doing any work tonight". I'll go out with my girlfriends or just lay in bed watching Gilmore Girls or Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Doing nothing is seriously necessary to stay sane!
I know these tips are kind of common knowledge but they work for me and hopefully they will work for someone else too! Wish me luck for the rest of the semester!
