Barely There Makeup

IMG_1817.JPGFullSizeRender.jpg I rarely wear makeup. I'm so used to not wearing it and honestly I'm too lazy to put it on that most days I just go makeup free. But recently I've started to wear it a bit more and I've got the routine down so that it goes pretty quick. I only have a few products but they're pretty good ones that make a difference in the way I look, while still keeping the natural look that is really important to me.

Step 1: After I moisturize my face with my regular Trader Joe's moisturizer, I dab a tiny bit of the Makeup Forever Concealer under my eyes and on any dark spots or blemishes. I use the little makeup sponge to pat it in. One of the associates at Sephora told me that it's really important not to rub under your eyes because the skin under your eyes does not regenerate as fast as the rest of the skin on your face, so when you're applying under eye makeup you should use a patting motion which I never knew before!

Step 2: After the concealer is all blended. I use the Tarte BB Cream and rub it all over my face with my fingers. A little bit of this goes a long way and it gives my face a really smooth look. I was really adamant about not getting a thick foundation, I just don't want to actually look like I'm wearing any makeup! This BB Cream is seriously PERFECT. And Tarte is an awesome brand that is natural and cruelty free.

Step 3: Apply some mascara. I am currently using this mascara but I don't really have a kind or brand that I swear by. Usually just whatever catches my eye in the checkout line.

Step 4: Next I do my eyebrows with this Brow Wiz pencil. I really love how this one has both the pencil and brush, using the brush definitely makes them look super natural.

Step 5: Usually I don't apply anything to my lips. I'm a total Blistex and Burt's Bees addict. But if I'm feeling fancy I'll use this subtle Lip Tint in the Soft Rose color.

So there you have my "Barely There" makeup routine! It's so simple and easy. If I can do it, ANYONE can!
