Fall Pretzel Sticks

One of my favorite things to make (and eat) is chocolate covered pretzels. I usually make them around Christmas and Valentine's day. You can make them look so cute and festive if you add different toppings. This year I saw some leaf sprinkles at Michaels and immediately thought of making my pretzels. I thought I would add a quick tutorial here! They're so easy to make and look so cute (not to mention that they're DELICIOUS!) What you'll need is: pretzel sticks, chocolate, and sprinkles.

I love using Ghirardelli chocolate, it's so smooth and creamy, its really easy to melt and work with. I use a double boiler on the stove and melt the chocolate little by little. I don't add it all at once because I don't want it to burn. I spread chocolate on about 2/3 of the pretzel stick, put it down on wax paper, and then pour some sprinkles on top!

I let them sit on the wax paper until the chocolate is hardened. They can be stored at room temp for a few days or in the freezer for longer! They make great treats to put in goody bags or give as gifts.

I can't wait for my Christmas Pretzels, I usually crush up candy canes and put them on top instead of sprinkles. They're so good! And I sometimes make smaller pretzels and Oreos too! Yum!
