Over the weekend I went to visit my sister in Brooklyn Heights. I love visiting her because we always do lots of eating and exploring, and her neighborhood is really nice. I'm planning on moving in with her for summer 2016! Saturday morning we strolled to DUMBO to try out Brooklyn Roasting Company. Like I said in my last post, I'm not a big coffee drinker but I decided to get a mocha, I wanted to get the authentic experience! We also split an amazing dulce de leche Dough Doughnut. It was a really cool atmosphere inside, there were big tall tables and cool mismatched stools, they had globes everywhere! There was also a cozy area with big comfy couches. I could totally see myself bringing a good book there during the winter and cozying up with a coffee/tea and a doughnut.
After coffee, we ended up at a farmer's market back in my sister's neighborhood. Farmers markets are the best. One of my life goals is to go to all the local farmers markets in Connecticut. But that's for another day! My sister got some spices and fruit at the market, and we got a really pretty bouquet of flowers for her apartment.
There's more to come from my weekend in Brooklyn, this is all I could do before I fell asleep! Hope everyone survived the Monday blues.. I know they were a little rough for me! But tomorrow is a new day!
