Getting Baked

On my last day in San Francisco, Angela and Quinn were both working so I ventured out into the city on my own. I miraculously made it down town with no issues and headed into Anthropologie to get them some tokens of gratitude for letting me stay with them. After Anthro, and stopping by to take pictures of the hotel "Petite Auberge" where my parents stayed on their honeymoon I made it my mission to go to a bakeshop that I had heard so much about before visiting SF. It's called Mr. Holmes BakehouseΒ and they are famous for making "cruffins" (a cross between a croissant and a muffin). They have a different flavor every day and they come out at 9:00 A.M. I arrived at the shop around 10:00 A.M. and the cruffins were already sold out! I settled for some delicious looking filled donuts instead, choosing the chocolate and salted caramel. IMG_4462IMG_4493The donuts were so good! I personally enjoyed the chocolate better but the salted caramel was not far behind. I seriously considered stuffing the rest of the donuts into my suitcase to bring home and eat later. But I decided not to be selfish and left the remaining ones with Angela and Quinn. Next time I go to SF I will definitely be in line at 9:00 A.M. in order to get some cruffins!
